Football is big in my household and being from Nebraska, one of our football legends is Ndamukong Suh. While he is best known for being a mean and nasty defensive lineman in college and the NFL, he’s actually a smart businessman off the field. Recently, on X, he posted some bits of financial advice he has had to “unlearn” from his childhood. I thought I would share a few with you as food for thought:
- Myth: Making more money will fix your problems.
- Truth: It just exposes them faster.
- Myth: Budgeting is for broke people.
- Truth: It’s how wealthy people can stay wealthy.
- Myth: Talking about money makes you sound greedy.
- Truth: Staying silent about money can keep you broke.
- Myth: Money changes people:
- Truth: It reveals who they already were.
