I read an awesome statement yesterday that really resonated with me: “Taking longer isn’t failure.” Let that sink in. We live in a “got to have it now” society where immediate gratification FEELS like success. Don’t be fooled. True success, especially financial success, is a process that takes time. Here are a few key points I gathered that can apply to finances and life in general: 1. Don’t compare your journey to others (very important)! 2. Learn from your setbacks (bad financial choices). 3. BE PATIENT! 4. Focus on small wins and progress, not perfection. 5. Trust the process. A great example of this is being consistent throughout your career with your Nucor 401k contributions and steadily increasing them every year. Consistency over time is a winning strategy.
